I will be attending (voting on Election Day, March 3rd)

- Polling places will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Election Day. Any voter in line at their assigned polling place at 7:30 p.m. will be able to vote.
- Bring a photo ID. Voters will be asked to show photo ID when voting in North Carolina, but you can still vote if you don't have one. If you cannot show an acceptable photo ID when voting in person, you will be asked to fill out an ID Exception Form. Click here for more information and for a list of acceptable photo IDs
I'll arrive early (early voting February 13-28)
- In-person early voting ends at 3pm on Saturday Feb. 28th.

- The deadline to request an absentee ballot is two weeks before Election Day.
- You can return your absentee ballot by mail. Your ballot must be received by your county board of elections by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day. Note: State law previously provided for a grace period if your ballot was postmarked on or before Election Day and received within three days after the election. That is no longer the case.
- Or, you can return your absentee ballot in person. You can return your ballot to your county board of elections office or to an early voting site, but you cannot return your ballot to a polling place on Election Day. If you are returning your ballot on Election Day, it must be received by the county board of elections office by 7:30pm.
